In AACF, we have five separate but unified ministries.
Large Groups, Prayer, Praise & Worship, Men’s/Women’s Small Groups, and Reach.
Scroll down for more information on each ministry and when and where they meet. If you would like more information, please do not hesitate to email the email@example.com email!
Every week, AACF hosts a large group opened to any collegiate student. Large groups are a great way to meet other people believers and non-believers for a time of fellowship and worship. During large groups, there typically is a worship/praise set, a speaker or key activity, and a study of God’s word. Speakers vary from pastors, elders, to pastoral interns from all over southern California.
For 2018-2019, Large Groups will take place every Wednesday evening.
AACF’s prayer ministry focuses on communicating with God through prayer. Prayer is a means of how we praise God. UCR’s AACF’s prayer ministry has just restarted again after a couple years of a pause. We plan to host prayer meetings throughout the year.
Meeting times will vary.
Philippians 4:5-7 “Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Praise & Worship
Throughout the year, we worship the Lord through praise or what some people know as music! Praise & Worship occurs during Large Groups and hosts individual events such as Praise & Prayer Nights, Jam with the Fam, and much more.
Exodus 15:2 “The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.”
Men’s & Women’s Small Groups
Small groups are important for spiritual growth and accountability. AACF’s small groups are separated by gender, just so people are more comfortable sharing about what is on their heart. The small groups intertwine by collegiate years: freshmen-seniors. Small groups typically read the Word together weekly and challenge each other to look deeply into God’s word.
Small groups meet Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays. Please email us if you would like to be plugged in.
Colossians 2:2 “That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ,”
If you see people tabling at the UCR Belltower with an AACF sign, that is us! Our reach team focuses on outreach and in-reach. This ministry focuses on evangelism on campus and in Riverside. They additionally host outreach nights, table throughout the year, and plan our outreach events such as progressive dinner, homeless ministries, and more.
Matthew 28:16-20 “Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
